A beautiful and underrated gem by Brazilian guitarist and composer Luiz Bonfá. In this video, I perform “Sambolero”, a piece originally recorded in 1959, showcasing Bonfá’s unique style. Luiz Bonfá (1922–2001) was one of Brazil’s most influential guitar composers and musicians, best known for his timeless compositions and his contribution to the world of Brazilian guitar music. “Sambolero” is a wonderful example of his elegant melodies, sophisticated harmonies, and expressive guitar writing. 🎸 I hope you enjoy this interpretation of this beautiful Brazilian guitar piece.
