#SS100Jaguar #Gaahleri On the bench today is a 1:50 scale Matchbox SS 100 Jaguar. It debuted in the 1-75 series and was produced from 1982-1986 as No. MB047. I got this one in a mail call from friend of the channel Mark Leminen in Finland. Thanks again, Mark! The SS 100 Jaguar is a British 2-seat sports car built between 1936 and 1939 by SS Cars Ltd of Coventry, England. It's a very rare car, with only 198 2½-litre and 116 3½-litre models made. Only 49 of them were exported. A beautifully restored former Pebble Beach concours winning 1937 SS 100 Jaguar 3½ litre Roadster was sold by Gooding & Co. at their August 2010 Pebble Beach auction. It fetched a noteworthy £666,270 (USD $1,045,000). Notably, it was on an SS 100 that the famous Jaguar 'leaper', the marque's signature feline bonnet mascot, was first displayed.
