The music was composed by Matt Gray, a highly regarded composer on the Commodore 64. In the game, you play as an unnamed former special forces soldier who, during the war, became renowned for his bravery and effectiveness in fighting terrorist organisations. However, after completing one of his missions, he was betrayed by his own superiors and dismissed from service. Shortly afterwards, terrorists kidnap his brother – a scientist working on a secret superweapon formula – and his daughter. To make matters worse, the police suspect the protagonist of being involved in the kidnapping, so he must not only rescue his family but also clear his name. The player navigates through seven varied levels, most of which are presented in a distinctive isometric view, whilst the rest consist of fast-paced sequences involving driving a sports car, during which you must avoid obstacles and attacks from helicopters. Throughout the game, you explore docks, airports, military camps, parks and other locations, finding weapons, ammunition, keys and items needed to solve simple puzzles and progress further. You’ll face numerous terrorists, armed guards, soldiers, police patrols and helicopters attacking during the car chase stages. The aim of the game is to find and free the hostages, then track down the leader of the terrorist organisation and deal with him once and for all. The entire mission must be completed within a limited time, which further heightens the tension.
