#ElConfesionario #EmigrarAIrlanda #VidaDeEmigrante EN//Moving abroad isn't always an adventure filled with new opportunities, beautiful landscapes and incredible experiences. Sometimes, it also means loneliness, uncertainty and missing the people you love most. In this first episode of The Confessional, I open up about one of the hardest parts of my experience as an immigrant in Ireland: being away from my wife and children while trying to build a better future for all of us. 💔 I'm missing out on my children's childhood while fighting to achieve my goal of bringing them over to be with me. And although I try to remain hopeful, there are days when I don't know whether all this effort will eventually pay off. I also talk about what it's like to go from living with your wife for years to finding yourself, at 33, sharing a flat with people much younger than you, living in a windowless room and feeling as though you're 18 or 20 all over again. It's a reality very different from the one I had imagined, and it becomes even harder when you're so far away from home. I'm not sharing this to put anyone off moving abroad. I'm sharing it because I believe this side of the experience deserves to be shown too: the side that doesn't always make it into photos, that's difficult to explain and that you sometimes have to face alone. This is The Confessional, a series within Jore's Stuff where there's room for the bad days, the doubts and the challenges of starting a new life far away from the people you love. Because the good moments deserve to be shared, but the bad ones are part of the story too. 💬 Have you ever had to leave your family behind to pursue a better future?
