Global Sustainability Challenge 2025 Regional Finals at Zhejiang University

The first Regional Finals of the Global Sustainability Challenge 2025 took place at Zhejiang University in January 2026, where 15 talented teams from HKUST showcased their innovative solutions under the themes of "Sustainable Energy" and “Adaptation & Resilience” among 67 shortlisted teams across the Pacific Asia and Australasia region. Top 10 teams advanced to the global finals in Germany in April, including our HKUST team, Impacta! The team provided an innovative Adaptation and Resilience idea called AquaLoop, that motivates fish farmers to adopt sustainable practices while using IoT technology to increase farmers’ product value and monetization potential.
