Desert Classic 2026 Highlights: Syrus Gaulin (Cook Inlet Soccer Club)

Highlights from Syrus's recent performance at the 2026 Desert Classic in Phoenix. The boys competed in the Gold 1 division of the U11 age group. It was a very solid trip for the boys from Cook Inlet Soccer Club that saw them come all the way down from Anchorage, Alaska to defeat two top 10 ranked teams from Arizona. In addition to the tournament they won a friendly against CCV Stars North preECNL. Despite going 3-0 in the tournament and having a 27-3 goal differential, unfortunately the tournament format prevented us from competing for the championship based on goals against, even though we had a better differential than a team that was selected. Oh well, on to bigger and better. It was a great trip and we are all super proud of how well our boys played and carried themselves throughout the journey! As always, thanks for watching
