Settle into his cosy study, where manuscripts lie in wait, the refreshments have presumably been left to their own devices, and the good doctor is nowhere to be found - which, frankly, is probably for the best if you value a quiet evening. Read, work, study, think or simply listen to the fire while Edinburgh goes on being Edinburgh outside.
