LEON V KRAUSER! Chapter 14 (Resident Evil 4 Remake FULL Walkthrough Part 9!)

Chapter 14! As Ashley regains consciousness, Leon informs her about Luis' death. With no more time to lose, the two get going again. Leon contacts Ada and asks her about the possible location of a lab in which they can remove the parasites, to which she informs him that such a lab might be located at the cult's sanctuary, located on the top of the mountain. As Leon & Ashley begin to make their way to the summit, they reach an elevator that leads to the mountaintop. With the gate locked, the pair is forced to find a way around to get to the elevator. Going through Facility 2, the two traverse through more of the island's dangerous traps, while encountering more soldiers and regeneradors. Upon reaching the Cargo Bay area, they find a wall blocking the path to the elevator. Suddenly, Ashley mounts and starts to operate a nearby wrecking ball truck in an attempt to break through the wall. But the first strike at the wall activates the alarm system, alerting a huge horde of soldiers. Ashley continues to smash at the wall while Leon defends her from the oncoming horde. After a fierce fight, Ashley is able to break through the wall. Boarding the elevator, Leon & Ashley reach the cult's Amber storeroom. Leon learns that the researchers in the island's lab were responsible for the creation of the superior species of Las Plagas. The difference being that the superior species allows the host to retain their intelligence even after assimilation with the parasite. He also learns that the cult injected Ashley with the superior species, with the intention of sending back a controlled Ashley back to the US and inject her father with the same parasite, allowing the cult to achieve their goal of world dominance. He also learns that anybody infected with the parasite is completely under the control of Osmund Saddler, as his body houses the dominant version of the Plagas, which has only been found in the Amber samples stored in the room. Suddenly, Saddler, finally revealing himself to the pair. He uses the power of the parasite to control Ashley & Leon's movements, paralyzing the latter and making the former take Leon's gun and shoot him with it. Ashley however, in an incredible feat of resistance, is managed to shoot Saddler's two guards instead of Leon. When Saddler makes her point the gun at Leon directly however, she ends up limp-wristing the gun. Saddler then takes Ashley with him. Only when Saddler & Ashley walk away, Leon is finally able to regain control of his body. Fueled with frustration, anger and anxiety, Leon hurriedly pursues Ashley. Arriving at a campsite, Leon finds documents entailing Krauser's intentions. He learns how the US government's decision to not send backup to extract troops during Operation Javier in 2002 caused Saddler to develop a hostility towards the US government, hence why he agreed to work for the cult and facilitate Ashley's kidnapping (by planting a mole in the government to deceive the Secret Service). Krauser, via a videotape, invites Leon to settle the score between them and resolve the events that took place two years prior. Arriving at the ruins, Leon discovers that Krauser has transformed the entire place into a gigantic trap, littered with turrets, bear traps, laser tripwires, among other. Suddenly, Krauser emerges from hiding and begins to taunt Leon. Leon confronts Krauser, telling him that working for this cult won't help him get revenge on the government. Krauser however, corrects Leon, telling him that the cult has empowered him, and the Las Plagas parasite has given him the thing which he now considers the most important in the world - pure unadulterated power, hence why he began working for the cult. Leon then aims his machine gun at Leon and starts firing, as the final battle between student and mentor begins. Throughout the battle, Krauser taunts Leon on how him holding on to beliefs of righteousness made him weak and was definitive proof that Leon never changed. But Leon confronts Krauser with the reality that him being consumed with power is eventually what'll lead to his destruction. Krauser, with the power of the parasite, mutates his right arm into a parasitic sword and pursues Leon into the final area of the ruins. Krauser tells Leon that his last lesson his about to begin now, but Leon corrects him, saying that it his time for the teacher to learn a lesson. After a long and gruesome fight with Krauser's mutated form, Leon is able to finally defeat his mentor-turned-adversary. A dying Krauser commends Leon on his victory, priding in the lessons he taught Leon, before dying.
