Guitar Practice #008 🎸 Today’s practice: • Chord-change exercises • Guitar Center acoustic lesson-book practice • Yousician practice • “Stand By Me” Recording note: I forgot to turn on the INST button on my Volt interface at the beginning, so the guitar audio may sound quieter or different during roughly the first 5–10 minutes. Another lesson learned for the recording setup. “Stand By Me” at the end became a very emotional part of this session. It was one of the songs I often practiced with Duchess beside me—and sometimes played directly to her. Before she passed, it was also one of the songs I played for her. I never got a video of the two of us together while I played, which is something I really wish I had now. Playing it today brought back those moments and touched me deeply. It was comforting, but also incredibly sad. I am still at the beginning of learning guitar, documenting these sessions so I can remember the journey, track my progress, and hold on to the memories connected to the music.
