🔶 Still torn between two worlds, Russian and Western, vocal artist Dmitri Hvorostovsky shares his thoughts about his career, expressing extreme selfcriticism, moving from self doubt to arrogance. Discussed subjects cover Russian Revolution, fall of Iron Curtain, dangers and mental climate of Moscow and beer.
🔶 When released the documentary was seen scandalous as the artist had obviously drank too much, also the decor of his home was judged, questioning if the kitch on the walls; Gustav Klimt's prints showed undeveloped taste (not seen in this cut&edited-version)
🔶 Sound & picture-quality is not ideal but the interview still offers intimate glimpse on Hvorostovsky's life and thoughts year 1994
🔶 The world now seems to be pretty much in the state of Iron Curtain's return
