A combination of cycling and packrafting in the Austrian and German Alps. 800 km from the Netherlands to Füssen, Germany 180 km from Füssen to Hagerbrücke, Austria Hideling my packraft and gear next to the river Driving back to Schleching, Germany 15 km cycling over two mountain climbs 13 km packrafting back towards my car Temperatures reaching 36°C / 97°F during a major European heatwave. The river is known as the Großache in Austria and becomes the Tiroler Ache after crossing into Germany. The highlight is the spectacular Entenlochklamm. River conditions: 📏 Water level: 143 cm at Staudach 💧 Water temperature: ±16°C / 61°F 🌡️ Air temperature: ±36°C / 97°F The whitewater is relatively easy, with some short sections around Class II, but the scenery is absolutely stunning. An intense and memorable day!
