[Former WR] Echoes of Wisdom Any% Speedrun in 5:39:12 (read desc)

IMPORTANT: The game has just been torn apart with new skips. This means that this run now falls into another category called "Glitchless". For the first ever full-game run of Echoes of Wisdom, I think it already shows the potential that this game has. While some parts are already fairly optimized with a consistent route and even some skips (Jabul for example), many other parts still need more time to be looked into when it comes to routing and specific movement, considering that I kinda yolo'ed some parts of the run with tricks that have been found on the same day (like Mount Hebra, which was just me experimenting with the crawltula). Other than that, the time reflects the biggest problem this game has right now (and many other Zeldas during release), which is its length. While the dungeons, bossfights and platforming sections are super fun when optimized, the sheer amount of textboxes and unskippable cutscenes make this run feel very stale and boring at times as you are only walking through the area and talking with NPC for multiple minutes, which is probably the biggest reason why this run clocks in at way over 5 hours (even though I have to admit that I didn't play too well and this run could go under 5h even with current strats). But as the nature of speedrunning goes, we will (hopefully) at some point find some huge skip(s) that can minimize the time by a lot and make the run that much more interesting. However, for the time being, I'd rather focus on ILs, optimizing movement for specific areas and of course trying to find some sort of glitch that allows us to skip a big portion of the run. I sadly don't have the time to run this ~5:30h category consistently and neither does anybody else. ▬ Equipment ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Cam: https://amzn.to/2VZ784B Mic: https://amzn.to/2JkC4X5 Keyboard: http://bitly.ws/I4kv Mouse: https://amzn.to/30N7iNi Editing Software: Adobe Premiere Pro ▬ Social Media ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►Main Channel: @Smudey ►Twitter:   / smudey_   ►Twitch:   / smudey_   ►TikTok:   / smudey
