The day the ark came home: the singers and trumpeters made one sound, and the glory of the Lord filled the house. "They lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever." (2 Chronicles 5:13, KJV) Scripture: 2 Chronicles 5:7, 11-12; 1 Kings 8:6, 10; 2 Chronicles 5:13; 2 Chronicles 5:12-13; 1 Kings 8:10; 2 Chronicles 5:14; 1 Kings 8:11 Lyrics: [Verse 1] They brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord Into its place, beneath the wings of the cherubim And when the priests came out of the holy place The singers stood in white linen, with cymbals, harps and lyres [Chorus] For He is good, for He is good His mercy endures forever They lifted up their voice and praised the Lord For He is good, His mercy endures forever [Verse 2] A hundred and twenty priests were sounding trumpets The trumpeters and singers were as one To make one sound in praising and thanking the Lord Then the house was filled with a cloud, the house of the Lord [Chorus] For He is good, for He is good His mercy endures forever They lifted up their voice and praised the Lord For He is good, His mercy endures forever [Bridge] The priests could not stand to minister Because of the cloud For the glory of the Lord Had filled the house of God [Outro] For He is good...
