[60 FPS] World’s Largest Operating Steam Locomotive Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 Altoona Pennsylvania

By Bill Didden A portion of the ad revenue this channel makes goes toward rail preservation projects. From July 8th to the 11th, the city of Altoona, Pennsylvania literally had a BIG visitor. Union Pacific Big Boy 4014, the world’s largest operating steam locomotive. I was so glad to be able to make it up and be one of about 75,000 people that came out to see it up close and personal (according to the Altoona mayor, Matt Pacifico). In addition to UP 4014, we saw several special Norfolk Southern diesel locomotives and the OAR First Responders Safety Train at the display event. As well as, Everett Railroad 2-6-0 no. 11 running some excursion trains in Hollidaysburg, PA and some NS freight trains before UP 4014’s departure out of Altoona.
