Since I got the remaster I've been dabbling about with 2 of the Challenges - Ambush Camp Rush and Keep Them Safer. In this video I'm showing a selection of runs in the Keep them Safer challenge and also some info which may help beginners who want to 'dip their toes' in this side of Days Gone.
BEGINNERS GUIDE TO CHALLENGES
When I first looked at the Challenges some time ago I knew very little about this part of Days Gone and when you go into the menu option your presented with screens full of little pictures and icons, what does it all mean I thought!
Here's a bit of info which might help beginners.
SUB CHALLENGES
Each of the 12 challenges has 4 sub challenges. If you can complete some or even all you will gain extra points in your final score increasing your chance of a bronze, silver or gold medal.
CHARACTER/CUSTOM ACCENT
You can initially choose from several characters from the game to be your player and custom accents for your bike. As you gain medals in the challenges you earn money to buy and unlock more.
RINGS
When you earn enough money you can buy rings which give you increased powers for use in the challenges. Only 2 at a time can be used.
PATCHES
When you gain medals you also gain a 'patch'. Theres a different patch for every one of the 12 challenges. Each patch gives increases to the skills you get in the main game with 3 levels of power as you gain bronze, silver and gold medals. These will take effect in the main game also and the relevant patch will show up on Deeks jacket.
The patches are specific to the game you are playing so patches gained in the remaster won't show up in the original and vica versa.
REP LEVEL
As you gain medals in different challenges your rep level increases enabling you to unlock more characters, custom accents and rings.
00:00 3 silver medal runs, sub challenge objective: no rolling or damage
05:39 2 gold medal runs, sub challenge objective: 60 headshots, no rolling or damage
10:39 Gold medal run, sub challenge objective 50 bolt kills, 60 headshots, no rolling or damage
