I Thought Billy Strings Played Bluegrass… WHAT IS THIS?!

I've played guitar for over 25 years, mostly living in the blues and blues-rock world. Growing up in Ireland, bluegrass music wasn't exactly something we heard much of on the radio, so it's a genre I've just never really been around. Before today, my entire experience with Billy Strings was Dust in a Baggie. I knew he was an incredible player, but that was pretty much as far as I'd gone down the rabbit hole. Then a buddy of mine told me I needed to check out the live performance of Turmoil & Tinfoil — and specifically said I might be surprised by where Billy takes it. So that's what we're doing today. I'm going into this pretty much blind and getting my first real look at Billy Strings, ive listened to some Sierra Hull and Molly Tuttle because they where at the last Eric Claptons Crossroads Guitar Festival. But when it comes to BlueGrass thats about it.
