Malashree dhun , a part of six seasonal dhun of Newar musical heritage played by the Newar people of Kathmandu valley, symbolises the advent of certain season, Autumn. It is specially played during the Dashain, the greatest festival of the Hindus. In old time, this dhoon was used to play by Gandharvas. Now, it is being played by farmers and other people too.
