Dave Canales: 'You can feel how connected we are as a team' | Carolina Panthers

Watch Panthers head coach Dave Canales break down the film from a Sunday night win over the Lions, praising a physical play style and a front seven that held Detroit to just 46 rushing yards. Canales gives injury updates on Jalen Coker and Monroe Freeling, discusses which players could return from IR, and explains how the early bye week lets the staff reassess what's actually working through four games. He also details his sideline conversations with Akayleb Evans and Princely Umanmielen in real time, walks through his decision-making process on fourth downs, and reflects on what he misses about calling plays while praising Brad Idzik's command of the offense. #KeepPounding #Panthers Chapters: 0:00 - Reflecting on the blackout atmosphere and play style 1:36 - Passing to set up the run 2:41 - Injury updates on Jalen Coker and Monroe Freeling 3:47 - Players eligible to return from IR 5:05 - What the early bye week allows the staff to address 6:33 - What makes Bryson Tremaine so effective 7:33 - Bryce Young's consistency under pressure 8:31 - The decision-making process on fourth downs 10:45 - Caleb Evans' response to being targeted 12:13 - Sideline conversations he couldn't have as a play caller 13:28 - The late fourth-down decision 13:58 - Brad Idzik taking ownership of play calling 15:35 - Whether he misses calling plays 16:25 - The football IQ between Bryce and Tetairoa McMillan 17:59 - Front seven development through four games 18:41 - Team connection across all three phases Subscribe to the Panthers YT Channel: https://bit.ly/35gP3RB For More Panthers NFL Action: https://bit.ly/2nv06FN #CarolinaPanthers #Panthers #NFL #Football For more Panthers action: https://www.panthers.com/ Like us on Facebook:   / carolinapanthers   Follow us on Instagram:   / panthers   Follow us on Twitter:   / panthers
