At an altitude of around 3,500 metres, hidden deep in the Himalayas, lies one of India’s most breathtaking natural wonders - the Valley of Flowers and at 4329 metres world highest Hemkund sahib gurdwara.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this valley stretches along the Pushpawati River, surrounded by towering mountains, deep valleys, and the ever-changing Himalayan landscape.
In this travel video, we’ll trek from Govindghat all the way to the Valley of Flowers — crossing rivers, walking through mountain trails, and passing through some of the most spectacular valleys of Uttarakhand.
Important note: Special thanks to all my friends during trek to handle camera and special credit to Niwas Kumar Roy for the beautiful images of flowers taken during trek.
This trek is organised by Himalayan explorer club (HEC) from IIT Roorkee.
