The Raw Material

Have you ever looked at someone successful and thought, "I wish I had what they have"? The truth is, God has already placed something valuable inside of you. Before He gives you the finished product, He gives you the raw material. Raw material is unrefined. It's not polished. It's not perfect. But it contains everything needed to become something extraordinary. A tree begins as a seed. A masterpiece begins with a blank canvas. A ministry begins with a burden. And your dream begins with the gifts, passions, experiences, and faith that God has already placed inside of you. Too many people are waiting for God to give them something new when God is waiting for them to develop what they already have. The Bible tells us in Philippians 1:6: "Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." God doesn't start projects He doesn't intend to finish. The talents you have, the dreams you carry, the compassion in your heart, even the trials you've endured—these are all part of the raw material God is using to shape your destiny. You may not see the finished picture yet. You may feel unqualified. You may feel like what you have is too small. But remember Moses had a staff. David had a sling. The little boy had five loaves and two fish. God specializes in taking ordinary things and producing extraordinary results. Your responsibility is not to compare your raw material with someone else's finished product. Your responsibility is to trust God, develop your gifts, and remain faithful in the process. Every dream God places in your heart comes with the resources to fulfill it. The raw material is already there. Your faith is there. Your purpose is there. Your calling is there. God planted it in you before you ever knew it existed. So don't despise small beginnings. Don't give up because the process is taking time. The same God who placed the dream inside of you is the God who will help you bring it to life. Today, make a decision: Stop looking around. Start looking within. Because God has already put the raw material inside of you to live the dream He created you for. Trust Him. Develop it. And watch Him do more than you ever imagined.
