Sermon: Promise of Salvation with Pastor Bill Williams.

In Luke 23:32-43, the King James Version describes the crucifixion of Jesus Christ between two criminals. Even while suffering on the cross, Jesus prayed, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” (verse 34), showing His great love and mercy toward sinners. One of the criminals mocked Jesus, while the other acknowledged his own guilt and recognized that Jesus had done nothing wrong. In faith, he asked Jesus to remember him when He came into His kingdom. Jesus answered, “Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise” (verse 43). This passage teaches us that salvation is available through faith in Jesus Christ, even to those who turn to Him at the end of their lives. It also reminds us that we cannot earn salvation through good works, but must trust in the mercy and saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
