Stephen Merchant Nearly Fell for a White Van Scam | The Ricky Gervais Show (XFM)

Stephen Merchant remembers the time two men in a white van tried to sell him a pair of suspiciously cheap speakers. Steve was so flattered that they thought he looked “streetwise” that he actually listened to their sales pitch. When they claimed to work for Dixons, they even gave him a phone number to call and confirm their story—and somehow that made the whole thing seem legitimate. Only when the price started collapsing from £200 to £150, then £100 and finally £70 did Steve realize something might be wrong. Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington can't believe how far he let it go. #StephenMerchant #RickyGervais #KarlPilkington #TheRickyGervaisShow #XFM #BritishComedy
