Igor Zhukov plays Beethoven Piano Sonata no. 31, op. 110 – 1980

In memory of Igor Zhukov who passed away on 26 January. When I listen to Igor Zhukov I feel overwhelmingly alive. He shared the utmost depth and intensity of emotion through his playing. It was not just conviction, as if that's some final thing, but conviction in the search to make something real and sincere. I always feel a sense of exploration in his special readings. He was a great musician. Игорь Жуков – Бетховен
