SONAMARG Wasn’t What I Expected! 🏔️ | Thajiwas Glacier, Kashmir

I finally explored Sonamarg — Kashmir’s Golden Valley 🏔️🇮🇳 Located in the heart of Kashmir, Sonamarg is one of those places where towering mountains, the Sindh River, and endless Himalayan landscapes come together to create a magical experience. But when I reached Sonamarg, it wasn’t exactly what I expected. With the famous meadows looking different without snow, I decided to continue my journey towards Thajiwas Glacier — and that’s where I discovered the real beauty of this place. From the scenic drive through Kashmir’s mountains, crossing the Sindh River, riding a horse towards the glacier, walking beside icy streams, and witnessing the breathtaking Thajiwas Glacier at around 9,500 ft — this journey became one of my most memorable experiences from Kashmir. This was not just about visiting a famous tourist destination.
