For many people who claim to be experts when it comes to what makes an ideal bushcraft knife, a key requirement is that the knife have a degree of ruggedness that allows the user to baton the knife with complete confidence that the knife will not break under such stress. While this is a great quality for a knife to have, such knives tend to be high in cost.
