The Bobby Smith Trade

On October 28, 1983 the Montreal Canadians swung a big trade to acquire a Big Center in Bobby Smith from the Minnesota North Stars. In exchange, Montreal gave up winger Mark Napier, center Kieth Acton and a round 3 pick in the 1984 draft (Ken Hodge Jr who never played for Minnesota). Not only did Montreal win this deal but so too did all 3 players involved (smith, Napier & Acton). #nhl #habs #montrealcanadiens
