Land Grab Near Kaziranga? Adivasi Families vs Five-Star Resort | Hyatt | Assam | Ground Report

Geeta Gowala is one of dozens of Adivasis from 45 families in Inglay Pathar, near Kaziranga National Park, Assam, who allege the government took their land and handed it to Juniper Hotels for a five-star Hyatt resort. I went to the hotel site on August 31, 2026 and saw excavators and cement mixers and labourers who were working on the land. I stayed in Bokakhat to meet those affected and understand what exactly was happening.
