Can An Old Diesel Get Over 100 MPG?

Can my 1.9 tdi vw polo break the 100 mpg barrier? I’ve managed to get 87 before and now that i’ve remapped the car, serviced it and done a few other things to help out the fuel economy, i think it’s possible.
