9/13/26: YOU ARE Series Continued

This week Pastor Drew continued his series YOU ARE. Do you ever wonder what God is doing when he moves in your life? Has God ever removed something in your life that was hurting you? Has he ever removed something that you didn't want him to take away? Pastor Drew started in John 15:1. Jesus says, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.” God is the gardener actively working in us. God prunes the bad things off of us so that we can grow. He gets rid of our sins which hinder us from developing our relationship with God. Sometimes God prunes the good things in our life because they can hinder us as well. Something can be good, but a distraction in your faith journey. We are told you are already clean. You are not told you will be clean after the pruning. He's not pruning you so you can be part of the family, because you are already party of his family. Grace comes before growth. Come to God as you are. Many times, we think we have to be perfect first. Jesus says you are clean when you accept Jesus into your life. Because I am clean, I can trust my gardener to prune me. Instead of questioning God we should ask what can you do in my life Lord. Ask God what he wants to prune in your life.
