The small town of Tully, in Far North Queensland, is famous for its heavy rainfall – and for producing Australia’s favourite fruit. Here, multi-generational farming families have built their lives and livelihoods around bananas. At the foot of the mighty Mount Tyson, we visit St Clare’s School to hear from the younger generations – children growing up in a close-knit community, surrounded by agriculture and nourished by the unique goodness of life in a farming town.
