VISIONARIES: Lee Chang-dong | TIFF 2026

Korean auteur Lee Chang-dong earned international acclaim as one of cinema’s most vital and empathetic voices for his compassionate portrayals of isolated characters. With a poignant body of work, including Peppermint Candy, Secret Sunshine, and Burning, his films offer complex, poetic expressions of rage, despair, and ordinariness. At TIFF for the North American Premiere of Possible Love, Chang-dong dives into his singular approach to filmmaking for a special onstage conversation.
