Ep36 Calibrating the speedo

Using a pillar drill as a constant speed. I tested a 4pole speedo sensor with a corrado speedo. and then tried to match that speed using 16pole sensor being turned at the same speed to the Astra gte/ kadett Gsi dash. Will it work?
