On 8 April 2005, 23-year-old art student Emer O’Loughlin disappeared near Tubber, County Clare.
Later that day, a caravan fire revealed human remains. At first, the tragedy appeared to be an accidental fire. Years later, a second post-mortem changed everything.
Emer’s death was officially recognised as a murder, and more than two decades later, nobody has been charged.
In this documentary, we look beyond the headlines to remember Emer herself, examine the investigation, and separate confirmed facts from speculation.
At Casework Society, we believe every case leaves behind evidence—but every victim leaves behind a life.
