On 8 April 2005, 23-year-old art student Emer O’Loughlin disappeared near Tubber, County Clare. Later that day, a caravan fire revealed human remains. At first, the tragedy appeared to be an accidental fire. Years later, a second post-mortem changed everything. Emer’s death was officially recognised as a murder, and more than two decades later, nobody has been charged.
