Scottish Highland dance Flora MacDonald Fancy display by Jean Swanston dancers in Pitlochry July '21

A display of the Flora MacDonald Fancy by students from the Jean Swanston Scottish Highland Dancers, with music by piper Bruce Hinch. This was one of the displays during the Pitlochry Highland Nights event in Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland, on Monday 19th July 2021. Flora MacDonald helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape to the Isle of Skye on his way to France in 1746, after his defeat at the Battle of Culloden. Such heroism won her the admiration of the Scottish people who honoured her in this dance.
