Sometimes a song leaves you with something more to say. That's what happened with this one.
When I wrote Part 1, Don't Call It Over, the message was about not closing the door too soon, not allowing fear or uncertainty to write the ending before love has had a chance to unfold.
But my heart wanted to say more.
I wanted to express something the Lord has been showing me about what love really is. Love is more than words. More than feelings. More than holding on and hoping everything works out. Love is patience. It's kindness. It's listening, understanding, giving grace, and being willing to grow. It's learning to see beyond ourselves and recognizing that love isn't only about what we want someone else to give us, but also what we bring into the lives of others.
And that doesn't mean love has no boundaries or that we overlook what is wrong. Real love doesn't manipulate, control, or demand. It makes room for truth, wisdom, and growth.
The more I reflect on God's Word, the more I see that love isn't simply something we say. It's something we live.
1 Corinthians 13:4–7 reminds us that charity suffereth long, and is kind. It doesn't seek its own. It bears, believes, hopes, and endures.
That's the heart behind Part 2.
I wanted to continue the conversation, because there's more to love than simply asking someone not to walk away. There's also the beautiful, sometimes challenging work of learning how to love well.
My prayer is that this reaches someone's heart and encourages them to look a little deeper, not just at the love they hope to receive, but at the love they're willing to give.
Because love is something we learn, something we nurture, and something we put into action.
And the greatest example of love we will ever know is the love of our Heavenly Father, shown to us through Jesus Christ.
This one is personal, and it comes from a heart that is still learning, still growing, and still being taught.
Don't just talk about love. Let it be seen.
God Bless You!
