What happens when an Alaska town has almost everyone living in ONE building? And getting there means driving through North America’s longest shared train-and-vehicle tunnel? Our Grand Alaska RV Adventure continues as we make our way to Anchorage and use the Wasilla Elks Lodge as our home base while exploring this incredible part of Alaska. Our first adventure takes us to Whittier, one of the most unusual towns we've ever visited. Getting there is an adventure all by itself as we travel through the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel—the longest combined road and rail tunnel in North America. But Whittier is only the beginning! We board the 26 Glacier Cruise for an unforgettable journey through Prince William Sound. The weather isn't exactly on our side, but Mother Nature still puts on an incredible show with massive glaciers, spectacular waterfalls, amazing wildlife, and an incredible glacier calving that we won't soon forget. Back in Anchorage, we check out two legendary local favorites: 49th State Brewing Co. and the famous Moose's Tooth Pub & Pizzeria. And because no Alaska adventure with Living Phase 2 would be complete without following the Alaska Cinnamon Roll Trail, we make stops for TWO more cinnamon rolls along the way. 😋 Come along with us as we continue our journey through Alaska in Gracie the Grey Nomad!
