Electric Motor Lift Assist with Rotation

We designed, engineered, and built this custom ergonomic tool to grip, rotate, and lift various types of motors. The tool features a steel and aluminum powder coated frame, automatic adjustable center of gravity shift, Linatex rubber lined grip jaws with a uniquely designed shape allowing the lifting device to grab round or square motors. The tool is controlled using the ergonomic soft grip handles with proportional up/down controls, grip/release/common button controls, and our Gripper Safety Circuit preventing operators from accidentally releasing the motors in mid-air. The motors can be momentary rotated 180 degrees with a rotation lever control. The tool is suspended from a Gorbel Easy Arm (smart hoist integrated into an articulating jib crane) that allows unparalleled precision; and with the float mode control operators can precisely position and orient the motors with their hands.
