Out of the Ashes: Randy McClelland | Art by Northwest

Brangien Davis makes a visit to Randy McClelland, a ceramic artist living in Naselle, WA, whose wheel-thrown vessels combine functional forms with storytelling based in his Japanese heritage. We learn the extensive process behind his Yōkai trickster pieces, made with local clay and crab shells, and witness a 48-hour woodfiring of the kiln McClelland built and shares with his ceramic community. ** Watch more episodes of Art by Northwest:    • Art by Northwest   ** Subscribe to the Art by Northwest newsletter: https://cascadepbs.org/ArtNWNewsletter ** Donate to Cascade PBS: https://secure.cascadepublicmedia.org... ** Watch more from Cascade PBS: https://www.cascadepbs.org/ ** Follow Cascade PBS online:   / cascadepbs     / cascadepbs     / cascade_pbs   https://www.threads.net/@cascadepbs #seattle #art #artist #pacificnorthwest
