The Challenges of Mandating ADAS General Safety Regulation

The Automotive & Commercial Vehicle industries are coming up with more and more ADAS features as technology develops to create systems for the safety of its users. Some of these features are going to be mandated through the new General Safety Regulation 2 by the EU coming into force in June/July. Any new vehicles that are launched will need to meet these requirements to be approved for sale and companies will have 2 years grace period to ensure all of their portfolio meets the requirements also by 2024.
