5” and 7 1/4” gauge trains - AALS Convention, Easter 2025

Scenes from the AALS convention hosted by Lake Macquarie Live Steam Locomotive Society. A small snapshot of the convention. Fair bit of footage from the footplate of Thomas and 2705. I was there from Friday afternoon till lunchtime Sunday, had an enjoyable time. Very novel being able to run at night and steam up at breakfast time. Footage is across mainly Saturday and Sunday 19th and 20th April, with a short snippet from Good Friday 18th at the start. Unfortunately no night run footage is recorded, I tried and it was simply too dark to be worth the effort. 1709, pictured as the video image built by Jason of the Orange Club won the Bolton Trophy.
