One thing you'll notice about this run if you finish watching it is that there is definitely room for improvement. I make some errors and some sub-optimal moves, in some cases just to be safe. The other thing you may notice is that my fellow hunter, on several occasions, tries to get close to me. You might not think this is anything special, but I can assure you that this is not a skill that I am very good at. My focus is on the monster and what I am going to do next. Having to look at where my fellow hunter is and position myself in time so that I can also simultaneously perform an Iai slash is really next level, from my point of view. I occasionally meet hunters like this and it makes me really happy that this game attracts this kind of player that has such fast mental processing power, exceptional reflexes, and great timing awareness. Two such Hunters may be able to synchronise well and get a really good time, but I don't think I am capable of such play. One of the important things that some hunters realise, I think is the importance of wound management. We were able to achieve this time, because, on most occasions, we try to get more than 2 wounds at once, as a minimum. There are occasions you can get 3 wounds at once even with Rey and Arkveld, but this is rare and requires exceptional precision and monster knowledge. In this quest, if you just get the one wound, your chances of getting sub 9 are not great. The lesson to be learned is that if you are solo hunting, try to wait for 2 wounds at least that are close to each other before popping them. If you are joining randoms, it is unlikely anyone will know your strategy so better let whoever needs it most deal with the wounds. But if you are with Hunter Friends, and you see the potential to get multiple wounds at once in a monster, you probably should coordinate to do that if you want really good times. Keep in mind that some weapons are better than others at popping multiple wounds. Bow or LBG would have to be the best I think? And Sword and Shield would probably be the worst? Most of the other weapons probably fit somewhere in between. We decided to mount in this quest. It really seems worth it for a duo hunt, but not for a solo hunt. We might continue to improve our time if we get the chance to hunt together in the future. But I won't post again with this Hunter unless we get closer to 7 minutes.
