The sound was muddy in the arena, for once it's nothing to do with my microphone! We got one of my favourite Suede songs, She, as well as a new version of Saturday Night with a sparse guitar intro that works really well. I've seen Suede a number of times (as this channel's videos can attest to) but it never gets old and the band do their best to keep things fresh and exciting for the hardcore fans. Case in point 2024's co-headlining tour had The Wild Ones on acoustic guitar but here it's a piano version with the now customary off-mic section, which I really like. The surprise songs on this tour have so far been older hits from their first three albums, which is a fair choice given it's a co-headlining tour, and of all the pre-reunion hits She is by far my favourite. That drum intro gets me every time. Props to the arena for handing out Tetra Pak water cartons, much nicer than the usual plastic cup. Do they actually help avoid spills? Of course not but it's the aesthetic that counts. I've finally managed to fix all the problems with my audio by getting a new phone though as mentioned above the sound was typical of big arena shows in being indistinct. I also had to try and frame between people's heads, being in the second row and there's a bit of wobble from having to zoom in the lens further than usual. But I'm reasonably happy with this all things considered.
