Day 6 Durango to Flagstaff

Day 6- As I left the cool brisk morning in Durango Colorado I headed to 4 Corners Monument, Monument Valley in Utah then back to Gallup NM. I found myself back on Route 66 once I arrived at Gallup NM. From Gallup it was on to stand at the Corner of Winslow Az with my final stop in Flagstaff AZ where I would stary for an additional day to get my oil changed and my Harley service with new rear brakes and also trying to figure out why my engine cooling fans were not working right. 🏍️ Day 6: High Desert Vistas, Route 66, and Bike Maintenance in Flagstaff! From the crisp mountain air of Durango, Colorado, to the wide-open high desert, Day 6 was a massive 550-mile push across the Southwest! I kicked off the morning dropping down to the Four Corners Monument before cutting across to the iconic sandstone towers of Monument Valley, Utah. From there, it was a long haul south to pick up legendary Route 66 in Gallup, New Mexico. No Mother Road trip is complete without taking it easy, so of course, I had to stop and "stand on the corner in Winslow, Arizona." I wrapped up the day in Flagstaff, AZ, setting up for a much-needed layover to get the Harley serviced—fresh rear brakes, an oil change, and troubleshooting why my engine cooling fans decided to stop working! 📍 Day 6 Route: Durango, CO ➡️ Four Corners Monument Four Corners ➡️ Monument Valley, UT Monument Valley ➡️ Gallup, NM (Route 66) Gallup, NM ➡️ Winslow, AZ Winslow, AZ ➡️ Flagstaff, AZ Ride along for the views, the desert heat, and a little road-side motorcycle maintenance!
