Details: -- {D Standard} -- 🤘 🇫🇮 🤗🥰 🇫🇮 🥰🤗 🇫🇮 🤘 The last time I played and improved on this Lead side was June 16th of 2026 when it jumped from 97.2% to 97.7% Accuracy where it was when I began this attempt. I've tried more than a few times between then and now to further improve that because I Absolutely Love This Song! In general, I've probably played this song 2 dozen times for every improved score I've gotten. I played it twice the night before this one as well and couldn't improve. Last night though I got a single tenth on the score from 97.7% to 97.8% Accuracy. It's not much but it made me happy. This is one of My Top 2 Favorite Bands & 1 of My Favorite Songs by any band. The power in this one is absolutely amazing. I was first introduced to Nightwish in 2005 & there's not a band I know of that has provided more to me musically than this one has since then. Before Nightwish, I didn't know any metal from Europe nor had I ever heard anything like it. They set me on a course of searching Finland, Scandinavia, then Europe in general for another band that might compare somehow. I still haven't found one I can put into the same category as this one for quite a few different reasons. I'm still searching and by now I've found at least 15 Bands I put into My List of Favorite Bands at this point and all but two of them are European and well over half are from Finland, Sweden, and Germany. I found all of them because I was searching for more like this. All of my life I have loved music. I always thought I would love to play myself. I didn't though for many reasons until I finally decided to start in probably 2013 or so with drums. I had a friend as a kid who played drums and that piqued my interest. I won't go in depth with that but what ultimately caused me to buy a drum kit and begin teaching myself was Jukka Nevalainen. The original Nighwish drummer. I loved watching that dude do his thing and he made me want to learn. I actually did keep up doing that for a couple years and I got mildly competent at it but never good. However, in the end I realized they weren't really for me. They're a pain to move, a pain to tune, take up too much room, scare the s**t out of my cats, and many other things as well. But, that began something in me that wasn't to be stopped. I always liked to watch live or performances where I could watch them play and when I was learning drums I did that a lot. I liked the drums but I started gaining more and more interest in guitars and guess why? Once again, it was this band. Watching Emppu Vuorinen play with the power of this band's music was a draw I'd never quite felt before. So, in 2021 I decided to switch to 6-String instead and begin learning and that's what I did. I had no lessons, I've used Rocksmith, like what I'm doing here, since day one. It took me probably a year at least before I could do anything except make excruciating noise. It wasn't really until year three where it started to come to me a bit, and then a bit faster. It seems to progress exponentially at this point and that's a wild thing. I would hit plateaus though where it felt like I would stagnate and couldn't progress at times. That's where Marko Hietala came in. The more I watched him play, the more I noticed the Bass. It was an instrument I hadn't ever even noticed let alone cared about before he made it look awesome. I had always thought it didn't look fun. I never imagined I would ever care to try learning Bass too but he changed my mind so I started looking around at Bass guitars to see if I could find a reasonably priced one that was going to also be decent in case I did like it. At the same time I had already ordered my current ESP you see in my videos. I was waiting for it on back-order for months and I was annoyed. During that time I found the Bass I still use and that's where that started. At this point, I can't imagine how I ever didn't think I would like it. I wondered if it would help me on 6-String as well but didn't know. I didn't know much really. I absolutely love playing Bass now as well and it's helped me drastically. I have found other bands I love at this point and Sabaton has since joined Nighwish at the top of that list of Inspirations & Favorites but it was Nightwish who led me to finding them and all the others in the first place. The gratitude I feel to people I've never met for that is staggering. What they inspired in me caused me to end up doing this. I have and continue to find levels of joy in this that I never imagined even could exist. I used to tell people I didn't know what "Happiness" felt like and believe it or not, I meant that. I do know what it feels like now and doing this is the reason for it. It's unlikely any of them will ever see this but if they do, they should know there are not enough words to thank them for it.
