Hey guys, entire Kerala is beyond beautiful but Alleppey specifically became one of our most favourite places. Honestly, we did not expect much from it because in most videos people only show the houseboat experience, but Alleppey is so much more and we are really glad that we spent time exploring it. On Day 4 of our Kerala trip, we travelled from Thekkady to Alleppey, which took around 4 hours by road. The scenic drive through Kerala’s greenery and villages made the journey even more beautiful. After reaching Alleppey, we checked in to our Houseboat, which we had booked for 1 Day & 1 Night. This experience included: 🛶 Houseboat ride through the beautiful backwaters 🚤 Speed boat ride 🍛 Traditional Kerala lunch 🕯️ Romantic candle light dinner 🏡 Overnight stay in the houseboat Cruising through the peaceful Alleppey backwaters, surrounded by coconut trees, small villages and calm waters was truly an unforgettable experience. Watching the sunset from the houseboat and enjoying dinner on the water made the day even more special. 🛶 Shikara Ride Alleppey is known for its beautiful backwaters, so we started our day with a Shikara ride. There are 4 main ways to explore the backwaters (we have explained all of them in the video). It was a very relaxing and amazing experience. Time: Sunrise to Sunset Cost: Approx. ₹3500 for one day (price may vary depending on season and type of Shikara).
