On 30 June 1908, something exploded over Siberia with the force of a large nuclear bomb. It flattened 80 million trees across more than 2,000 square kilometres, knocked a man off his chair 65 km away, and lit up the night skies over Europe so brightly that people could read newspapers outdoors at midnight. But when scientists finally reached the site, there was no crater. No rock. Nothing to dig up. This is the story of the Tunguska Event: the eyewitnesses who saw the sky catch fire, the meteorite hunter Leonid Kulik who spent years searching for something that wasn't there, the strange clue of the trees still standing at ground zero, and the wild theories, from comets and asteroids to alien spaceships and tiny black holes. Then, in 2013, it happened again over Chelyabinsk, and this time the whole world watched. And the newest theory may be the strangest of all: the object might never have landed. It could still be out there, orbiting the Sun. ⏱️ Chapters 0:00 - Intro 0:48 - 30 June 1908: the sky catches fire 3:34 - The nights go wrong 4:48 - Leonid Kulik's expedition 5:57 - A sea of fallen trees 7:25 - The trees still standing 7:58 - The twist: an airburst 10:16 - Microscopic space dust 11:43 - The wildest theories 12:51 - Chelyabinsk 2013 14:48 - The object that may have got away If you enjoy stories about history's strangest mysteries, subscribe for more. #Tunguska #TunguskaEvent #Mystery #History #Siberia #Asteroid #Meteor #UnsolvedMysteries #Documentary #Space
