Hi! Today we’re going to be making Ground Beef Kabobs. This is a pan-fried dish, made with pomegranate molasses and tomato paste. It's really delicious and easy to make. You can have it ready in 45 minutes! Let’s get started! You will need: 900g Ground Beef 1 small onion 3Tbsp Tomato Paste 2Tbsp Pomegranate Paste 1tsp of Salt ½ Tsp of Black Pepper 1 tbsp of Vegetable Oil Bamboo skewers The first thing you have to do is dice your onions. You can do this by hand or use a food processor. Then, add the beef, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Now we have to put the meat on the skewers. Your skewers should be about ¾ the size of your pan. Mine are too big so I’m going to cut the ends. Take a bit of the beef and roll it into a ball in your hands, then, either on the counter or on a plate, roll it into a tube. Then stick the skewer in through the center. Make sure to pinch both ends shut so it doesn’t fall apart. Cooking the dish is really simple. Heat up a pan and add a very small amount of oil. You can also substitute cooking spray. This dish does not require that much oil. Flip the skewers a couple times to ensure that they’re cooked all around. Add a little oil to a separate pan and add your tomato paste. Let it simmer a little bit to enhance the colour and taste. Add your boiling water and mix well. Add the pomegranate molasses and mix well. The amount of pomegranate molasses you use is completely up to you. The more you add, the darker the colour will be at the end and the sourer it’ll taste. Add a little more water to make the sauce a little thinner and then pour it over the beef skewers. Flip them a couple times to make sure they’re fully covered. Turn the heat down and let the skewers fully cook in the sauce. While the kabobs cook, flip them a couple more times and keep pouring the sauce over them to give the finished product a better colour and taste. Put on a lid and let it cook. After 15 minutes, remove the lid and flip the skewers again. Pour some more of the sauce on top of them. Put the lid back on and let it cook for another 15 minutes. All done! You can serve this dish with rice, salad, yogurt, or anything you want! Enjoy! :) Bon Appétit   / persian.food.with.khosrow     / cooking.with.uncle.k
