Are you exhausted, overwhelmed, and burned out from being the person everyone depends on? I'm 61, and I've reached a point where I'm questioning the life I've spent decades building.
Between family responsibilities, work, financial pressures, and the demands of everyday life, sometimes it feels like there's no room left for actually enjoying it.
And for those of us in the sandwich generation, caught between the needs of aging parents, children, and our own lives, the pressure can feel endless.
But here's what I've been wondering: What if the problem isn't that we're not managing our time well enough? What if we've created or accepted lives that leave little room for our own happiness?
In this very personal video, I'm sharing my experience with exhaustion and burnout, and some important realizations from my years as a life and business coach.
We talk about:
Why being responsible for everything can become exhausting
How our values and personal standards can unintentionally contribute to burnout
The unique pressures of midlife and the sandwich generation
Why we plan for responsibilities but rarely plan for joy, peace, and freedom
How to begin redesigning our lives without abandoning the people and commitments that matter
I don't believe we should have to wait until retirement, or until everything is finally taken care of, to enjoy our lives.
*Maybe the answer isn't learning to do more. Maybe it's finally giving ourselves permission to do less and LIVE more.*
