What You Hate in Others Is Living Inside You | Carl Jung

Why does one person get under your skin more than anyone else ever could? You replay what they said long after they have forgotten it. You tell yourself you are just seeing them clearly. You walk away, and somehow the same kind of person is waiting in the next room. Through the lens of Carl Jung's analytical psychology, this video explores projection, the hidden process by which parts of your own shadow land on other people. We look at why some reactions feel too big, why the same difficult personality keeps following you, how childhood rules choose the traits you despise, what the golden shadow says about envy and admiration, and how withdrawing a projection changes an old conflict. In this video, you will discover: ✔ Why the size of your reaction is the clearest clue to your shadow ✔ What Jung meant when he wrote that projections change the world into the replica of your own unknown face ✔ Why you keep meeting the same person in new faces, and how counterprojections keep the pattern alive ✔ How the rules of the house you grew up in decide who you cannot stand today ✔ The golden shadow: why envy is often admiration you were never allowed to live ✔ How to take back a projection without excusing anyone who truly hurt you ✔ 5 practical exercises, from a heat score to a letter written in your enemy's voice Shadow work is not about deciding everyone else is innocent. It is about taking back the pieces of you that you handed to them, so you can see people as they are and still choose who stays in your life. If you have always been the quiet one, the one who stays calm on the outside while a single person keeps you awake at night, this video is for you.
