Write it down and act on it this week. Examine whether you are placing expectations on a person or relationship that only Jesus is designed to carry. Bring that honestly to God in prayer. For married group members: Have a conversation with your spouse this week about one specific way you can help them flourish -- not what you need from them, but what they need from you. Reflect on whether there are areas of your marriage where you have kept score or withheld something rather than giving mutually and generously. For single group members: Identify one area of kingdom usefulness that your current season of singleness makes uniquely possible. Take one concrete step toward it this week. If loneliness is a real struggle, reach out to one person in the church this week -- not to fix the loneliness, but to simply not be alone in it. For the whole church community: As a group, commit to being the kind of community where no one's relationship status makes them feel like less. Name one person in your circle -- single, widowed, divorced -- who may feel on the edges of community, and make a plan to include them. #elementscitychurch #elements #thenerdout
